State plans to abandon two Bainbridge parks

Back in The Day when my family shared summers on Rolling Bay Walk with fifteen others (all of whom seemed to have about five kids apiece), we'd spend an occasional Sunday afternoon at Fay Bainbridge State Park, on the north end of the island. The kids spent the day climbing logs and enjoying burnt hot dogs with our buddies. We didn't care what the parents did, but I can imagine.

Our grandchildren might not have this opportunity if Governor Gregoire has her way. There's an email address at the end of this article from the Kitsap Sun. If you're concerned about this plan, please use it!
