Two of you are getting pretty good at this quiz, so I'm raising the standard. Try this one:
Q. Washington State boasts the deepest river gorge in North America. It is deeper than the Grand Canyon. What is the name of the gorge, and how deep is it?
(Astound!! Confound!!!)
A. Hells Canyon is over 5,500 feet deep.

What is your source for this information?
According to the National Forest Service and Wikipedia, Hell's Canyon is in Oregon and Idaho. There is no mention of Washington. At best, the mouth of the canyon might be located just south of Asotin, WA.
Jim, it's Hells Canyon, not Hell's Canyon. See http://www.fs.fed.us/hellscanyon/
Paul,
Thanks for correcting my spelling and the URL is the same one that I used for my comment.
"Hugging the borders of northeastern Oregon and western Idaho."
Where do you get the Washington connection?
Actually, Jim, you corrected Lewis and Clark's spelling. Great explorers, but not good spellers.
We're looking at another Clark and Lewis argument here. Both Clarkston, WA and Lewiston, ID make big bucks from Hells Canyon. Check the map at http://www.hellscanyonvisitor.com/hcmapkey.pdf.
