The buzz around the country is that more and more homeowners are willing to walk away from their mortgage obligation. We have always been taught to honor our debts. But we had always been taught divorce was immoral before it became socially acceptable.
Is strategic default (homeowner willingly gives home back to lender instead of paying mortgage debt) immoral? Unethical? It's certainly legal.
