Even More Uses for Census data (last installment)

Here's the last installment to help us understand why the 2010 Census is so important.  None of it is about personal information (personal data will not be released by the Census Bureau for 72 years).

How else are Census data used?
  •  Planning for congregations.
  •  Locating factory sites and distribution centers.
  •  Distributing catalogs in the developing direct mail pieces.
  •  Setting the standard for creating both public and private sector surveys.
  •  Evaluating programs and different geographic areas.
  •  Providing genealogical research.
  •  Planning for school projects.
  •  Developing adult education programs.
  •  Researching historical subject areas.
  •  Determining areas eligible for housing assistance and rehabilitation loans.
