More uses for Census data (Part 4)

Here's the fourth installment (of five) to help us understand why the 2010 Census is so important.  None of it is about personal information (personal data will not be released by the Census Bureau for 72 years).

How else are Census data used?

* Planning health and education services for people with disabilities.
* Establishing fair market rent in enforcing fair lending practices

* Directing services to children and adults with limited English language proficiency.
* Planning and urban land use.
* Planning outreach strategies.
* Understanding labor supply.
* Assessing the potential for spread of communicable diseases.
* Analyzing military potential.
* Making business decisions.
* Understanding consumer needs.
