New paint makes the entire home smell clean and neat. If your home has chipped paint, exposed wood, or the paint looks faded, it's time for new paint.
If your carpet is worn, dirty, outdated, or an unusual color or style, you may need to seriously consider replacing it.
Many houses do not sell because of these problems, which are easily solved. Don't think that buyers have the money or want to "choose the color". They typically don't. They will simply just buy elsewhere.
